This is just a little page about me, my development through coding and this website.
I started learning about HTML in about March 2007, when my Information Technology teacher introduced the HTML language to the class.
We only briefly went over it but I loved the idea of creating something in your exact image, so I decided to learn further.
I was amazed to find such a helpful book at the school library. It was a huge book called 'Mastering HTML' and it took a long
time to get through it. But it was a great book and helped me understand coding better. I began making a few site layouts and
developed a site of my own, hosting it on a domain that was kindly given to me. The first site I created was a horrible little
thing, developed entirely in tables using almost every possible decipricated tag imaginable. But I felt great about it. It looked
good in my eyes. I soon grew to hate it, as it was horrible to edit, so I started again. This site was much better and really
showed my HTML coding power, but that again annoyed me. I branched out to CSS, which helped me work easier and develop styles
easier. This was a great site and I used a program called Paint.NET to develop
a nice layout. This site was great and I'm really proud of it.
This website was developed very slowly. I registered as soon as I possibly could, which was the opening date. I created a
nice layout for it. The distant deadline seemed to remove the urgency of adding the content so I let it go for a while,
leaving it for later. It was then, 10 days away from the deadline I realised I needed to get it done. There was literally
no content on the site at all. I quickly wrote it up, spending a lot of my spare time in the code editor and finished
it two days before the deadline. Not it's tweaking stage, which is when I am writing this now. Now I'm going to fix all
the bugs and get everything prepared for it's unveiling. Wish me luck
Also, in case you're wondering I did
everything seen here. Images, layout, coding and information etc.
It was a great experience for me and I hope to do it again in later years.
