I though that the running loop was done very well.
The gun loop i did not like. The gun was nicely detailed , but the stick shows no reaction.
The gunshot was nice too.

The Running Loop - This was extremely poorly animated, didn't look as though much effort was put into it. It was really choppy. - Low Beginner rank.

The Jump Loop - Again, poorly animated. When he was coming down, he magically appeared in another spot, bad mistake, try again. - Low Beginner rank.

Gun Test - Choppy arm movement, and there was no reaction to the gunfire. I'd normally say Low Beginner, but I see you tried on that one, but in the future include to ractions okay? - Med Beginner rank.

I realise that's 2 Low Beginner ranks to the one Med Beginner rank, but I still voted Med Beginner.

Try some more tests and edit your previous ones, try to make them smoother.

Certainly add some reactions to the gun test as well.

K, good job on saving them correctly, they look a lot better now.

The Walk Test - It was a very good test, unfortunately, it's hard to rate tests, but that went really well. It went a bit faster towards the end, which ruined it a little bit though.

The Shot Test - This looked quite good. The reactions were pretty good.

I want to see you spend some time on your next few animations, using all your tests to make a decent animation.

Okay. For a newcomer, you are exceptional. It'd be amazing if you do make it into the epic collab by the end of this month though, but you can always try. Let me give you a list of things to improve on.
  • 1. Shrinking your frames. All your animations are huge. Every animator saves their animation with a 2 or a 3 in the shrink frames section, when saving as a .gif. It removes the pixely look and the animation generally looks better.
  • 2. Foot placements. When a character moves, his feet remain in the same place, unless he slides his foot or he lifts it up. So, when you jump for example, you want his feet to not move around on the ground, until he jumps up.

Also, you might notice his feet are moving nearer, then farther from the line. You want his feet at the same level throughout. Click here for my tutorial on fixing this.
  • 3. Holding a gun properly. If you check, you never even pull the trigger. You want his back arm to be on that part of the gun, and not the magazine... until he reloads. You can find some info on animating guns from here.
  • 4. Gun reaction. It seems too fast, and generally a bullet wouldn't send you flying back. Click here for more about gunshot reactions.
  • 5. Stiffness. Move every joint in every frame. When you walk, move the back and bob the head. When you punch, move the legs, etc. Here is a stiffness tutorial.
Edit - Ignore my first remark, seeing as you've fixed it.

Punch Test - Awesome. Although just a test, it was a very good one. And because it was a boneless arm, good judgement on not adding a tremor.

Combo Test - Nice style. But just before the first punch, it looks very stiff. Sort the pre-punch out and maybe the stiff kick afterwards out. The punch was good though.

Well they were very good for some of your firsts, but you should work on stiffness and on your physics, otherwise, great job on those! I hope you also checked out Bahas Ultimate tut, It helps everyone including me.
